How Can We Help?

  • Please check your arrival and departure dates for accuracy.
    • If any discrepancies, contact Toni Martinides.
  • Plan to arrive at the airport three hours before your international flight departure time.  Airlines require passengers to be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure.
  • Please check your arrival and departure transportation group and connect with other Peak associates.
  • Please note your Friday pick-up time. This means checked out of hotel, in lobby, with luggage in hand, ready to depart.
Foreign Passenger Information
  • THIS MUST BE COMPLETED AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR DEPARTURE (BOTH ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE) – All foreign passengers entering or departing the Dominican Republic on commercial flights must complete the free electronic entry and exit form at: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do

Attire (Packing Prep)
  • Tuesday’s event is resort casual attire.
  • Thursday’s event is cocktail attire.
  • NOTE: Both Tuesday and Thursday night events are hosted outside on garden terrace. Men do not need to wear sports coats. Be mindful of footwear as we will be on grass.
  • Restaurants: Some resort restaurants have dress requirements. Visit THIS LINK to see restaurant options + review dress code and details by restaurant.
Ground Transportation
Arrivals

After you go through passport control, luggage claims, and clear customs, please walk outside and look for the Connect DMC representative holding a sign with the PeakMade logo on it.  They will greet you and escort you to the correct vehicle.

As you travel to our ground transportation carrier (Connect DMC), avoid the many individuals who will offer you their car service or sell you something.  They can be very insistent and in your face.  Do not make eye contact with them, or say, “No thank you” and just keep walking fast.

Departures

Connect DMC vehicles will pick you up outside the lobby of the resort.  Please check the ground transportation manifest for the time to meet your driver.   The airport is 35 minutes from the resort.

Per Diem

Please note, expenses for breakfast the morning of your arrival, lunch the day of your departure, one piece of luggage charged by airline, and airport parking are reimbursable via an expense report.  While at the Secrets Cap Cana meals outside of the scheduled events are covered under the all-inclusive rate.  Exceptions that you make to the all-inclusive meal plan will be at your own expense.

Staying In Touch in THE DR + Hotel App

The Diamond Club App

The best way to stay in touch with the PeakMade group is the Peak app.  The app is open to all PeakMade associates who are 2023 Diamond Club attendees.  Stay connected to the app to know where the Peak party is during your stay in the DR.

Hotel App

The hotel app will be of great use during your stay for items such as ordering room service, viewing hotel events and activities, plus much more. CLICK HERE to Download.

International Calling, Messaging & Data

It is best to reach out to your cell phone provider prior to leaving the country to verify if your provider has coverage in DR.   If you need to purchase a one-month international package from your cell phone provider this would be a personal cost to you unless approved in advance by your manager.

The resort offers free in-room Wi-Fi included in your All-Inclusive rate.  The hotel will give you log-in instructions upon check-in.

Download the following Apps prior to departing for DR if you feel you will use them:

WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app that allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS.  WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone and Android phones.

The Facebook Messenger App allows you to have free text conversations using Wi-Fi.  Download prior to departing for DR.

Banking and Currency

Currency

The Exchange rate is approximately 56.70 Dominican Pesos to 1 U.S. dollar (rate changes daily).  It is not necessary to exchange currency. However, if you would like to, it is recommended that you use an ATM once you arrive in DR to exchange currency.  The airport and the hotel will have ATM machines available for your use.  Major credit cards are a safer bet for purchases.

Bank & Credit Card Accounts

Please alert your bank and credit card companies of your upcoming international travel so you do not experience problems in the DR.

Personal Luggage Allowed in THE DR
  • Two cameras and camera gear
  • Two cell phones or other wireless devices
  • One laptop or notebook and power source
  • Medicines for personal use, in quantities that justify the exclusive use of the passenger. In the case of medicines that contain psychotropic substances, you must present the prescription for their use.
  • A maximum of 20 packs of cigarettes, 25 cigars, or 200 grams of tobacco.
  • You may also bring in gifts of a value of up to US$500 (five hundred United States Dollars)
Passport Information

Don’t forget to pack your passport and always keep it with you.  Make sure that your passport is current. When asked your reason for visiting the DR, state that you are on a business trip. When you check into the hotel, they will ask you for your Passport so they can take a photocopy of it. Please allow them to do so.

Customs & Declarations

U.S. residents may bring home $800 of foreign goods duty-free should you shop and purchase items in the DR.

The meeting we are hosting is called “PeakMade Leadership Training”, not a rewards trip, for customs and VAT tax purposes.  Allow extra space in your luggage for bringing gifts and souvenirs you may want to bring back to the US.

Personal Safety

“Better safe than sorry” doesn’t sound like a cliché when you consider the consequences of losing your money and identification.  Carry your purse or backpack on your chest with one arm draped across it.  Keep your valuables in the hotel room safe.  Be watchful in crowded places for pickpockets.  We recommend that you ask the hotel front desk staff about precautions you should take if you plan to travel outside the resort. Always travel in pairs. Punta Cana is a very safe place, but safe practices will serve you well.

All Inclusive Resort

Choose from eight à la carte gourmet restaurants, a buffet venue, a grill, and a café – reservations are never required but recommended.  24-hour dining options allow you to enjoy late-night bites with room service. Special menu items, including gluten-free options, are available. Your privileges include all meals, as well as premium, top-shelf drinks.

NOTE: some restaurants have dress requirements.

Casual Elegance – Sneakers/tennis shoes or dress sandals, dress shirts with short sleeves or collared shirts. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required for men at dinner.
